A simple question to professional hairdresser, Erin Baker, was all it took for Schnookums Bowtique to be born, in the summer of 2006.  As a wife, a mother of two boys and with a daughter on the way, one day I was asked by a friend: "where could I find hair bows that will stay in my newborn's fine hair?"

That simple question and hours spent searching for such a product online, is all it took for the creative mom in me to order the necessary supplies and challenge myself to make stylish, yet functional bows that I felt were sought after by moms.  Shortly after the first bows were made and sent out to moms who put them to the test, word quickly spread about the cute variety of products that really stayed in, and the orders started pouring in.  With my own little daughter as a model, I was able to combine my experience of hairdressing and my own standards and desires as a mother to create cute, high quality hair accessories that have exceeded parents' expectations.

After launching Schnookums online in, January, of 2008, business has taken off in ways I could have never imagined.  For example, e-parties have been a huge hit, because pleased customers want to share these products with their friends, which is exactly what e-parties allow them to do; while, also letting everyone get great discounts and an opportunity to earn free products.  It's our little way of thanking our valued customers for spreading the word about a product they LOVE, while having lots fun doing it.
